Who Is Chi Kung For?
Anyone!
Chi Kung is a very gentle form of exercise originating in China; it’s often described as ‘standing meditation’ but can in fact be practiced standing, sitting or even lying and so can be done by people in wheelchairs. Because it is a low-impact activity there is very little risk of injury and even people who find other forms of exercise difficult may be able to practice Chi Kung. This makes it a very good option if you haven’t exercised for a while or want to build up slowly after an illness.
Chi Kung is non-competitive - it's about how much you get out of what you are doing. The best thing about it is that anyone can do it and you can go at your own pace.
